Whether you are looking for yourself, or for a great gift idea for that nautical lover in your life, Hartel Shipyard is a must on your shopping list. This quaint shop has free on-street parking or can be reached from downtown Marietta with a quick walk across the Harmar Bridge. The historic Harmar Bridge links downtown Marietta with Harmar. It was originally built to accommodate horses & buggies, and was later converted to a railroad bridge. It now offers a short scenic walk, for pedestrians only, across the Muskingum River and offers spectacular views of Marietta, the Ohio river, and the Showboat Becky Thatcher.
Nautical Items
Various sizes and colors of glass floats from the China Sea are available, with each having its own protective covering of rope webbing. We also have a unique selection of Caribbean and Dutch Rum jugs, Saki bottles, glass deck prisms and heavy woven baskets we call "Lobster Baskets", since that was one of their uses, but they are also used to carry liquid and/or dry goods. These items make great conversation pieces for your home or office.
Marietta Souvenirs
Great souvenirs for Marietta College students and graduates are our hand painted wooden replicas of many of the buildings on campus. We also sell Marietta souvenirs such as postcards and painted boat replicas of the Valley Gem, Becky Thatcher, W.P Snyder Jr., Delta Queen, Claire-E, Pioneer City, and the Blennerhassett.

Many of the items in our store are hand-crafted by local artisans, such as our painted slates and saws, neck ties, wooden kitchen utensils, cutting boards and walking sticks, painted Ball jars and beautiful stained glass.
